More POWs Are Receiving Benefits than the DoD Says Exist

The Department of Defense says there are only 21 surviving prisoners of war from the Gulf War and slightly less than 600 POWs from Vietnam. Yet the Department of Veterans Affairs is paying disability benefits to 286 POWs from the Gulf War and 966 POWs from the Vietnam War.
