First Lady Michelle Obama Visits Fort Bragg

First lady Michelle Obama visited Fort Bragg yesterday on her first trip out-of-town unaccompanied by the President. According to varying sources, Mrs. Obama had a private lunch with about 20 military spouses and relatives and gave a speech to over a hundred people. She then read The Cat and the Hat to a group of preschoolers.

Support of military families is one of Mrs. Obama’s key issues. Among other things, she hopes to lesson frequent deployments and improve the military’s healthcare system.
