Medal of Honor Recipient Alfred “Mac” Wilson Honored by Hometown

Corporal Alfred Mac Wilson was deployed to Vietnam on July 21, 1968. Corporal Wilson was killed in a firefight on March 3, 1969. During the fight he earned the Medal of Honor. He was also posthumously promoted to corporal. U.S. Representative Mike Conaway of the 11th District of Texas sponsored a bill to put Corporal Wilson’s name on the Odessa Second Street post office.
