Tuskegee Airmen Attend Inauguration

Over 200 Tuskegee Airmen from across the country gathered in the Capitol on Tuesday to watch President Obama take the oath of office. Airman Jim Goodwin from Santa Rosa, CA said that it was a tremendous experience.

The Tuskegee Airmen were an all-black unit of airmen in World War II, who became legendary for their skill. They were the first black airmen in U.S. military history. Visit the Tuskegee Airmen’s website or learn more about their trip to Washington.
