Concert in Detroit to Benefit Veterans

Local entertainer Ron Coden is performing at the Royal Oaks Club in Detroit, Michigan to raise money for Honor Flight Michigan and Steppin’ Out. The first is a program that raises money for World War II veterans so they are able to travel to Washington, DC and visit the World War II Memorial. The second is a program to help AIDS patients.

Honor Flight Michigan is a non-profit organization with no overhead. It is run entirely by volunteers with no paid employees or government support. In 2007, Honor Flight sent 414 Michigan veterans to Washington to visit the Memorial. Trips are planned April through November of each year. Currently over 900 veterans are waiting for funds to be able to visit the Memorial.

Visit Honor Flight’s website or purchase tickets.
