U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Jared C. Monti to Receive Medal of Honor Posthumously

President Obama will present the family of U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Jared C. Monti with a Medal of Honor for his actions during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2006. Monti was killed in the action that he earned this Medal in. The Medal of Honor is the military’s highest award for valor.
